Llama Llama Red Pajama

On Thursday, October 6, students in all four elementary schools read the book Llama Llama Red Pajama. The students wore their pajamas to school, and this event was part of a record breaking event known as "Read for the Record", where students from across the country read the same book on the same day. Yesterday, it was estimated that over 2 million students participated. Not only did students get a chance to read and have fun with the book, but every school was visited by a live llama. As a Reading Corps school, this is one of the neat things that is organized for our students and is meant to get students excited about reading and learning. It was fun to see the students so excited about this activity.
